SERVING GOD THROUGH SERVICE TO OTHERS PURPOSE
The mission of the Zion Hill Baptist Church Ushers’ Ministry is to serve the Lord with gladness and welcome all who enter into His house to worship with a Smile and a Spirit of Joy!
ROMANS 12:10-13
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulations, continuing steadfastly in prayer, distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
PSALM 84:1B
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
OUR PURPOSE
Ushers are called into a ministry of Christian Service. As such, Ushers hold the key of extending hospitality to strangers as well as to members. Ushers help to assist the pastor by maintaining order and controlling movement during Worship Service. Ushers are the “doorkeepers” in the House of God and are on guard at all times during the service.
The Ushers Ministry is comprised of the Men Ushers, Ladies Auxiliary, Adult Ushers and Youth Ushers. Ushers are on duty every Sunday for Morning Worship Service as well as for Afternoon Services when held.

We will accomplish this through worship, fellowship, studying, and developing interpersonal relationships with each other and God.
PSALM 139:14
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
JOHN 15:15
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

The Youth Ministry provides supportive service to the youth of our church and our community to help foster spiritual growth. The Youth Ministry serves as a spiritual, financial and emotional support system for our children. Everything we do as a ministry is done to build up our youth and help them to recognize that they are an important part of the Kingdom of God!
PROVERBS 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
PROVERBS 23:12
Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.
OUR PURPOSE
•To create opportunities for our youth to learn more about God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
•To help our youth to live lives that are pleasing to God: walking according to His ways.
•To provide a memorable and meaningful spiritual experience for our youth that will enable them to gain spiritual growth.
•To present programs that will teach them how to obtain their goals.
•To prepare them with life-skills that will help them to achieve their goals.
•To promote their God-given talents so they will be encouraged to use their gifts.
•To help them develop sound moral character that will benefit them throughout their lifetime.
•To encourage our youth to be leaders now and in the future.
•To empower them with the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
OUR OBJECTIVE
The Youth Ministry objective is to provide activities that will be FUN, but also FRUITFUL to their spiritual, physical, mental and intellectual well-being: e.g. spiritual retreats, trips (education and fun-filled), bowling and skating parties, and movie nights.
To meet with our youth quarterly an provide interactive workshops on topics such as: Bullying, Financial Literacy, Etiquette, Social Media Dos and Don’ts, Real Talk, and Open Forum (where our youth will come up with a topic they would like to discuss).
Our Youth are important to us because they are our PRESENT and our FUTURE! If you are interested in working with our
Youth, please contact Sister Althea D.
